About Malee's Kitchen
Created from a chef with a passion. Started from home but her passion led to share her work to the public serving traditional Southeast Asian street food. Signature dishes like the spicy, sweet, and sour Papaya Salad and the crispy golden Eggrolls are favored among many customers.
Located at 7064 E Belmont Ave B, Fresno, CA 93737, Malee's Kitchen operates as an asian fusion serving Fresno in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under asian restaurant, caterer, laotian restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Fresno, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 500 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian fusion in Fresno and suggests consistent service.
Fresno is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Fresno follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I ordered 2 red curry chicken noodle soup, 1 medium spicy tum pho papaya, 1 order tendon 16oz, 1 order dz egg rolls. Total $78. I am disappointed in the tum pho.. not enough papaya sauce on it so the noodles were not great, more dry than anything. I know the noodles will soak up the liquid but there was nothing left to soak up. Only 2 shrimp and 2 slice meatballs. Not worth the money. We threw most away.. The red curry sauce noodle soup has lost its flavor. It is not like how the mom used to make it. It's pretty nasty. It tastes really nutty and salty. There's a weird taste that I can't pinpoint but it does not taste like the authentic khao poon that we are used to. It tastes more like peanut buttery. No mints and culantro for the khao poon. So that, sucks too. Not worth the money. Spice level: mild. Tendon soup: good. Egg rolls: good. Hopefully, the soup can be adjusted and the tum pho liquid ratio can be adjusted correctly.

I really wanted to love this place but the food was just okay. Sticky rice and sausage plate was a little pricey for what you get. Enough for 1, not enough to share. Sticky rice was okay, not the best. Sausage was good along with the pepper. Now the chicken khao poon curry was overly salty. I wished it had more garnish like cilantro, green onions and a lime. Usually khao poon would come with lime and chili oil. Overall I think there are better south east restaurants in Fresno for a far better price. I ate feeling disappointed.

My first time going because it was highly recommend. I'm from Wisconsin. It's actually a food truck. You order at the truck then get your food and can sit inside or outside on the patio. Place looks clean. Food: Pork belly and rice: pork was fresh but nothing fancy. Its deep fried and comes hot and crisp. The stick rice is im a sandwich bag like they serve at Hmong parties. The side of pepper was good but a little on the sweet side. Spicy though. Kapong: above average because it comes with tons of veggies, cabbage, chicken and quail eggs! Broth was little on the sweet side. It was creamy. Papaya: little sweeter than I like it. Cute little place and seems to be popular.

First time stopping by, overall a solid experience. Thereβs plenty of seating both outdoors and indoors, which made it easy to find a spot to relax. Thereβs also a store right next door where you can grab drinks or extra snacks. We spent a total of $33 (including tip) for: Pork belly with sticky rice and chili sauce Sausage with sticky rice and chili sauce The chili sauce was incredibly spicy and absolutely delicious, definitely a highlight! We grabbed a drink from the store for just a buck, which was a great deal. The sausage, unfortunately, was overcooked and a bit too fried for our taste, so we wouldnβt order that again. But the pork belly was a generous portion and really tasty. Parking is fairly easy, which is always a plus.

I came here planning to do takeout, but decided to sit outdoors in the evening with the misters on. It wasnβt too hot, and it actually felt really nice outside. Iβve tried the chicken wings with sticky rice before, and they were delicious the flavors were spot on, the dipping sauce was really tasty, and the sticky rice was cooked perfectly. The location is super convenient, right next to a gas station, and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The music adds a cool, relaxed vibe, and itβs a comfortable spot to just kick back and enjoy a meal. So far, I definitely recommend the chicken wings with sticky rice, and the overall experience here is chill and enjoyable.
